1. quad
An open square area that has buildings all around it, especially in a school or college.

2. field
The area in the School is used for playing a sport on. (British English = pitch)

4. principal

5. assistant principal
An education administrator responsible for facilitating the day-to-day requirements of the school. (Also known as a vice principal)
- Our assistant principals deal with the issues of school management.
- The assistant principals have a meeting with parents to discuss student behavioral or learning problems.
6. counselor
A person who is trained to listen to people and give them advice about their problems.
- The school now has a counselor to help students with both personal and work problems.

7. classroom
A room in a school where lessons take place.
- Students are expected to be quiet and obedient in the classroom.
- The children put up posters on the classroom walls.
8. teacher
A person whose job is to teach in a school.
- My son’s never been in trouble with his teachers before.
- There is a shortage of teachers, especially in music and science.
9. restrooms
A room with a toilet in a public place, such as a school.
- When the teacher came, I really wanted to go to the restroom.
- We have clean restrooms in our school.
10. hallway
A space or passage inside the entrance or front door of a building.
- He walked down the school hallway to see the assistant principal.
- She walked through the crowded hallways to the locker room.
11. locker
A small cupboard that can be locked, where you can leave your clothes, bags, etc. while you play a sport or go somewhere.
- I left my things in my locker.
- I lost the keys of the locker.
12. clerk
A person who is responsible for performing a number of administrative duties at an elementary, middle, or high school.
13. cafeteria
A restaurant where you choose and pay for your meal before you carry it to a table. Cafeterias are often found in factories schools, colleges, hospitals, etc.

14. computer lab
A computer lab is a space that provides computer services and lessons to students at school.

17. auditorium
The part of a theatre, concert hall, etc. in which the audience sits.

A room or hall with equipment for doing physical exercise, for example in a school.
